Zika is a virus transmitted by Aedes aegypti mosquito and about 86 countries are affected by the virus.

The symptoms are similar to dengue like fever, rash, conjunctivitis, joint pain, and headache.

Symptoms last for 2-7 days.

During pregnancy the virus can cause infants to be born with microcephaly and other congenital malformations known as congenital Zika syndrome. Miscarriage is also one of the complications.
