Not wearing helmets, seat belts killed 65000 Indians in 2017

According to research approximately 98 people die every day because of not wearing helmet, while 79 people died everyday because of not wearing seat belts.

Road Accident reports also revealed using mobile phones while driving took 9 lives everyday.

In 2017, total fatalities caused because of not wearing helmet reached 35,975 while 36,678 were seriously injured.

28,896 people died because of not wearing seat belts whereas 33,264 were severely injured.

Tamil Nadu saw the highest number of deaths.
