Hindi is the No.1 mother tongue - 43.63%

Bengali - 8.3%

Marathi - 7.09%

Tamil - 6.8%

Gujarati - 6.74%

Urdu - 4.34%

English is the first spoken language to 2.6 lac people, spoken in Maharashtra, followed by Tamil Nadu & Karnataka.

Sanskrit is the least spoken language with 24,821 people listing it as mother tongue.

Among the unscheduled languages, Bhili/Bhilodi is spoken widely by 1.04 crore people.
