Last day it was a miracle of an innings by Ben Stokes that lead England to victory by just one wicket. 

Ben Stokes has become a national hero after having won for England in the final of the World Cup & again here in this Test match.

A 2 year event, started on 1st Aug 2019 with Ashes series.

Participating Teams - India, England, Australia, Pakistan, South Africa, West Indies, New Zealand, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka. 

Each team to play 6 other nations (3 home series & 3 away series) in either 2 or 3 or 4 or 5 Test match series.

Any matches against teams (Ireland, Afghanistan, Zimbabwe) who are outside of the above 9 teams will not be considered a part of WTC.

72 Test matches across 27 bilateral series will be played as part of this WTC with final to be played at Lord's in June 2021. 

As part of this initiative, players will sport number & name behind their white jerseys as part of ICC program to connect with fans.

India have won 18 out of 82 overseas Test series.

This will be India's 1st  ever overseas Test series victory against Australia in 72 years.  The only overseas Test series India has never won is against South Africa.

England dismissed for 58 on 22nd March 2018, one of the lowest Test totals in the 1st Test against NZ at Auckland.

England's all time lowest total is 45 against Australia in 28th Jan 1887 Sydney.

All time lowest total is held by NZ which got dismissed for 26 on 25th March 1955 against England again at Auckland.

India's all time lowest Test total is 42 against England at Lord's on 20th June 1974.

A total of 2300 Test matches have been played since the first test was played on 19th March 1877 between England Vs Australia at MCG which Australia won by 45 runs.
